TRACES OF LIVING

This project was part of a three-day program curated by Christine Giorgio and Amelyn Ng. A recently vacated, demolition-earmarked studio apartment from 1956 was occupied once more, as a site of gathering to commemorate, trace, remember, and document.
Traces of Living reflects on the memory of the building and its capacity to register lifestyles, routines, and the passing of time. This installation works as an ongoing archive by identifying and contextualizing renovations, appliances, and every other mark left by previous occupants.
